Community Energisers are an annual opportunity for the Google Education Communities in Australia and New Zealand to come together, share and learn, eat and drink, have some fun, and generally get re-energised.  It's a chance to charge your batteries, fill your cup and hang out with a bunch of other smart, curious people just like you. 

Specifically the Energisers are for...

• Google Certified Innovators

• Google Certified Trainers

• Google Certified Coaches

• Google Education Group Leaders

• Reference Schools (up to 5 teachers or leaders from your school)

This year we are encouraging you to also bring a friend who has completed their Level 1 or 2 Google Educator Certification.  More details below.

You're welcome to attend any of the three Energiser events for 2025.  Most people attend their nearest one but if you're travelling, or would just prefer to go to a different one, you're most welcome to do that.

Many of you have been to an Energiser before, so you might choose to mix it up and visit a different Google office.

If you're interested in coming but aren't completely sure yet if you can make it, we'd suggest registering anyway. Consider it more of an "expression of interest". We find it's easier to plan the events if we know who is thinking about coming, even if some of those folks can't make it in the end.

So please go ahead and register anyway if you feel you'd like to be there. If something changes and you can't make it, just let us know (but preferably not the day before!)

The Energiser is open to all current Google Certified Trainer and Coaches. If you're not sure whether your certification is still current, please reach out and we may be able to check for you. If your certification has expired, let us know and we can look into what your options are.

Oh, and if you haven't been too active lately, all the more reason why you really NEED this Energiser!

Yes! Google Reference Schools are an important part of the Google for Education community, and we encourage each Google Reference School to send a few members of staff to the Energiser.  You'll get a chance to meet and mingle with the Google Champions community, and we know you'll have some fun and learn a lot.

This year we are opening the Energiser to allow Reference Schools to send up to 5 staff members (teachers or school leaders).  If you have more than 5 people interested in attending, let us know and we can chat more about it.

Yes! Although these Energisers are for the Google Education Community of Champions, GEG Leaders and Reference Schools, we also want to grow the community, and the best way to do that is to bring new people along to experience the Google Community magic!

So yes, this year we are inviting you to bring a friend!  The only caveat is that the friend needs to have their Level 1 or Level 2 Google Educator Certification. So, do you know someone who's Level 1 or 2? Do you know someone who could become Level 1 or 2 between now and the Energisers? Of course you do!

So please share the opportunity with this person and bring them with you. You know they'll be glad you asked them!

People would usually only go to one, but if you're really keen to attend more than one let us know.

We're excited to let you know that Google is moving into a brand new office in the Docklands area of Melbourne. (Those of you who came to last year's Energiser in Melbourne got a little sneak peek at what's coming! 🤯)  The exact address details will be announced soon, but it's going to amazing! 

If you're in Melbourne, come to the Energiser and check it out. If you're not from Melbourne, but would like to come to the Melbourne Energiser, this is a pretty good reason to do it!

No. The Summits are run by Deploy Learning on behalf of Google. If you've been to a Summit before you know they are a great experience.

We've coordinated the Auckland and Sydney Summits to coincide with the Energisers, which gives you the option to attend a Summit if you'd like to, especially if you are already travelling to Auckland or Sydney. 

The Summits are generously supported by Google for Education, so there is no cost for attendees.

 Of course! There's no obligation to attend both events, but hopefully having them together will allow you to attend a Summit if you'd like to.  (Did we mention the Summits are free to attend?)

There will be a Melbourne Summit, just not at the same time as the Melbourne Energiser.  The Melbourne Summit will happen on January 19, 2026. 

Not only that, but if you're in Adelaide there will be a Summit there on September 29, 2025.
